Well, today should be the last one on the trail for Smudge as she heads the last few miles towards home. You see, it’s handy when you live not far off the trail. Friends and family are gathering to walk the last few step with her as she finishes her dream journey.

And YES – Smudge is home.
Smudge’s personal Trail Angels (Vicki and myself) along with Barbara, Tim, Christina, Karl, Markus, and the golden girls Sophie and Lucy, welcomed her (and this weeks hiking friend – Illene) and then walked with Smudge the last few miles home. Wow, what an accomplishment!!!
We had a gathering of somewhere around 30 friends. After some fantastic food, Smudge told stories and read Cowboy Poetry she had written her last night out. So happy she is home and had a wonderful long, long walk.
